The total numbers of questions were 160 while the time given was 120 minutes. The number of questions remained same as last year, being 40 in each of the 4 sections. There were 4 series of papers namely A, B, C, D. The marking system was 4 for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer. The general framework of the paper was on same lines as last year. There were a few printing errors and wrong options .The drill-down of the paper is given in the table below.

The English Section of the GBO Exam was overall easy as compared to previous year’s exam. This Section had variety of Questions on Grammar including change of voice, prepositional phrases, sentence completion and identifying errors in a sentence. Considering the level of questions, the number of attempts to clear the cut-off should be 22-24.Total time allocation for this section should be 20-25 minutes.

This section was the most difficult among the 4 sections and the most difficult Math section in the last 3 years. The questions on Tables were calculative while the rest of questions were a little tricky to understand. The number of attempts to clear the cut-off should be 15-16.Total time allocation
for this section should be 45 minutes.

This section was a lot easy as compared to other sections. The questions to be definitely attempted should be from Series, Logical Reasoning and Condition Based Reasoning. The number of attempts to clear the cut-off should be 20-22.Total time allocation for this section should be 35 minutes.
The questions were mostly from Current GK and Static GK. Anybody having a workable knowledge of General Awareness should be able to attempt at least 14 questions with the time allocation being 15 minutes.

Overall the cut-off is expected to be around 303+. Till last year the institute called students for the next stage on the basis of overall cut-offs.
