The total number of questions was 200 while the time given was 120 minutes. The marking system was 1 for a correct answer and -0.25 for an incorrect answer. There was no sectional breakup, which just gives an indication that this exam might consider the overall cut-offs and not sectional cut-offs. There were 4 series of papers namely 11, 12, 13 and 14. The paper was of higher difficulty level as compared to last year which may lead to lower cut-offs this year. There were a few printing errors. English was a tough section to attempt. The real tough subsections were the Vocabulary related Section. The Grammar questions were surprisingly easy. The Reading Comprehension section dealing with “Feminine aspects related to Literacy” had all the inferential questions. There was a set of 4 questions which required substitution of words with letters, which should have been attempted. The Sentence Correction questions were quite confusing in terms of options given. The minimum correct attempts in this section could have been 21+, with a possible time allocation of 30 minutes.

Since the exam itself was Economics and Finance oriented, hence the questions on GK were heavily inclined towards Economics. The questions ranged from general theories of Economics and Finance to all the current developments in that field. Most of the aspirants would have found the questions doable, if they had gone through our Business Awareness Funda book. The questions on Current GK were mainly from Politics. The minimum correct attempts in this section could have been 28+, with a possible time allocation of 15 minutes.

The Logical Ability section was the easiest of all in difficulty level. The questions on various Graph types were of Medium difficulty level. There were 1-2 ambiguous questions and should be left. The Logical Reasoning caselets (5 of them) were of varying difficulty level and should be attempted in the light of the options given. There were at least 3 easy caselets which should be attempted. The questions on Data Sufficiency required basic knowledge of elementary Math and should have been attempted first. The minimum correct attempts in this section could have been 30+, with a possible time allocation of 35 minutes.

The Quantitative Ability section was of medium difficulty level section with a sprinkling of difficult questions in between. The section was heavily skewed in favor of Modern Math and Inequalities. The questions from Probability were straightforward, while the inequality section was a little difficult. The Calculus questions were of medium difficulty level. Co-ordinate Geometry was of medium difficulty level with questions taken majorly from straight lines. The questions from percentage and SI/CI were easy and should have been attempted first. The minimum correct attempts in this section could have been 34+, with a possible time allocation of 40 minutes.
