The notification for JMET
conducted by the IITs, for students
seeking admission into the management programs for
the
year 2011-2013
is released with following
details. The programme is conducted
at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT
Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT
Roorkee.
12th December, 2010 (Sunday) (10:00 am to 1:00 pm)
The test consists of multiple choice questions of 3 hours duration and is aimed to test the applicant's ability in Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal Communication and Logical Reasoning. JMET will be conducted all over India. The test centres for JMET can be viewed at http://web.iitd.ac.in/~gate/jmet/exam_cities/exam_cities.html.
The first choice of test city opted by the candidate in JMET 2011 application form will appear on the admit card. A request for change of test city may be
considered only if
a request letter stating the reasons for the change along with a demand draft of Rs.400/- per change reaches the Chairman, GATE, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Hauz
Khas, New Delhi 110016 on or before 29th October 2010. The demand draft
should be in favour of Chairman, GATE, IIT Delhi payable at New Delhi. No center change request will
be entertained after 29th October 2010.
Each IIT has its own set of eligibility criteria. The essential eligibility conditions common to all the IITs are enumerated below.
