IIFT 2011 NOTIFICATION

The notification for the course MBA (IB) 2012-2014 offered by IIFT, Delhi & Kolkata, is released with following details.

DATE OF TEST:

27th November, 2011 (Sunday) (10-00 am to 12-00 noon)

DETAILS OF THE TEST

The written test on 27th November will be for admission to MBA (IB) program of IIFT, Delhi as well as Kolkata. The test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English language). Duration of the test is two hours. It normally consists of around 200 questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The final selection will be on the basis of written test, group discussion, essay writing and interview.
 
The written test will be held at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam. Based on the marks of Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for second phase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. IIFT reserves the right to add/delete any centre, if required. 

ELIGIBILITY

The essential eligibility conditions are enumerated below.

RESERVATION

Seats are reserved as per Government of India rules. The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirement of the Institute under different categories. 

For Foreign Nationals, NRIs and Children of NRIs, admission is considered on the basis of Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT), score of which should not have been declared before 1st January 2010 and should be received by the Institute latest by 31st March 2012.

HOW TO APPLY

The candidates can apply in the following 3 ways:

By Cash (Personally):

The Prospectus and Application Form may be obtained on all working days (Monday to Friday) between 10.00 am to 4.30 pm on payment  of Rs.1500 (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST/PH candidates and Rs.3000/- for Foreign Nationals/NRI/Children of NRIs) in cash personally from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi - 110016 OR J-1/14, EP& GP Block, 7th Floor, Sec –V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata - 700091. SC/ST/PH candidates will be required to bring requisite Category Certificate also.

Please note that no Demand Draft will be accepted at the Campus. Forms are available in CASH only.

By Post:

The Prospectus and Application Form may be obtained by post from IIFT DELHI CENTRE only by sending a request accompanied by demand draft of Rs.1500/- in favor of INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE payable at NEW DELHI (Rs.750/- for SC/ST/PH candidate and US$ 75 or Rs.3000/- for Foreign Nationals/NRI/Children of NRIs) and two self-addressed (with Telephone / Mobile No.) adhesive stickers/labels. SC/ST/PH/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates need to attach requisite Category Certificate also for obtaining application form and brochure.
